Reference materials: Craigsville Public Library, "CPL", offers reference books, such as encyclopedias, dictionaries, pricing guides, maps, atlases, and many local history. These materials may be used for research on site or photocopied, but may not be checked out.
Fax Service:
For sending faxes there is a charge of $2 for the first page and $1 for each additional page.
For receiving faxes, there is a charge of $1 per page.
For the use of the photo copier, there is a charge $.25 per photocopied page.
Interlibrary Loans: The Craigsville Public Library participates in an Interlibrary Loan service in order to obtain materials not available in our collection. This service depends on the generosity of public and academic libraries across the state. For security reasons interlibrary loan materials must be signed out from the front desk. In order to receive this privilege the borrower agrees to:
1.) Accept responsibility for materials between signing out and signing in. This includes cost of damage to or loss of borrowed item.
2.) Return the materials a week before the date due marked on the interlibrary loan slip. Not returning materials to the lending library on time may jeopardize our ability to continue receiving interlibrary loan services from that library. Please make every effort to return this material by the due date.
Please note: Borrowers may be required to have a valid library card with the West Virginia Library Network system in order to check out Interlibrary Loan materials.
Internet Access: The Craigsville Public Library offers six public access computers free of charge. Currently there is a 60 minute time limit for computer usage. However, CPL does not ask patrons to relinquish their computers unless there are other patrons waiting to use the computers. Patrons must sign in and have a library card. For printing, there is a charge of $.25 per page. CPL also offers wireless internet access.
CPL also is an access point for KidsConnect.
Meeting room: Craigsville Public Library offers a meeting room to the public. There is a $50.00 requirement fee to rent the room by appointment and a $20.00 deposit that will be returned to the patron if room is left clean and undamaged.
Enhanced Viewing System: Craigsville Public Library now offers patrons that may have vision impairment an "EVS" machine (Enhanced Viewing System) which allows printed materials to be magnified for better viewing.
